Solo guitar arrangement of this fun & challenging piece from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite from The Nutcracker Ballet.

Arranged for guitar by Bryan Aspey

I created my arrangement based on the original orchestral score and the composer’s piano arrangement. All of the guitar techniques used here: sweep picking, alternate picking, legato, trills, hybrid picking… were all employed to play the notes exactly as written in the original score, but it really sounds like Tchaikovsky could have written it for electric guitar. 🎸✨

Hope you enjoy it!

About The Nutcracker Ballet:

“The Nutcracker has become the most frequently performed of all ballets and has served as an introduction to classical music for many young people. Because the first act is set at a Christmas party, the ballet is often presented at Christmastime.”
